You can use audio from YouTube or any Website if you check that it is copyright free/royalty free. Some scumbag channels will copyright strike you for the music anyway but that's very rare to happen. You can always appeal strikes after they happen. Also just go onto the copyright regulations on the community page I can't link it because of the sharree guidelines but just go onto google and type up "YouTube Community Guidelines" and the first link should be what you're looking for.

All of that goes under the fair use law basically how you can use clips without getting copyrighted. Do your research on fair use and you'll be fine in some cases you wont be able to use anything at all the thing. Im not really an expert on this stuff but I know some basics. Just look up some youtube videos on fair use and copyright and that should help you out.

For more information on fair use law then have a read of this which goes into quite some detail.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

Just remember that this relates to the US and content played there. Youtube is international and Youtube India or Youtube Portugal are entirely different continents and have their own law systems. Indeed in Europe a change in European law coming soon (Article 13) is very worrying to youtube because of the amount of copyrighted material is hosted by them/their users/us.

Heres Google/youtubes own statement about fair use, you must read it if you want to keep your channel and build it into something great.

The bad thing about the strike is that it comes without announce you or ask you to delete the content first .

hi everyone, i had to look this up when making my youtube videos, to make sure you dont use any copyright material etc, i used soundcloud and search for creative commons content or no copyright content to be sure you dont get striked, but also double check in the 'show more' description of the youtube video to see if any comments are added to say if you need to mention the song/artist or links to the video at youtube etc in your own description when you post a video Smile

I hope the website can be helpful. Help each other! Hang in there guys!
